Farram Lodge

To work with the existing or start again, that was the question! Opting for the sustainable approach of retaining the existing footprint and external walls of the post-war bungalow, raum have proposed an additional floor within the raised replacement roofspace as well as a major internal reconfiguration. Externally, the walls are proposed to be clad in a rainscreen of vertical timber akin to local vernacular agricultural buildings with discreet nod to contemporary styling with a large portal stair window and large glazed elements connecting the large open plan family room with an outdoor terrace and garden beyond.
